Smilelign is a clear aligner system that consists of a series of virtually invisible, removable aligners that are designed to correct issues such as crowding, spacing and misalignment of teeth. The aligners are custom made to fit your teeth and are designed to be changed every 2 weeks. They work by precisely and gradually moving the teeth in small increments until you have achieved your desired result.

How to begin your journey:
STEP 1
Book your free consultation - we will carry out an assessment and have an in depth conversation with you about your likes and dislikes as well as determine whether you are eligible for aligner treatment. We will also inform you of likely charges, risks and benefits of your Smilelign treatment.
STEP 2
Pre-treatment appointment - if you would like to proceed with Smilelign treatment, we will arrange a pre-treatment appointment. This will involve a detailed orthodontic assessment, clinical photographs, X-rays, study models and a full 3D treatment plan with the generated appearance of your final results. We will discuss the potential outcome of your treatment and with the 3D treatment plan, you will be able to see how your teeth will move week by week. At this stage, we will also be able to provide a more accurate cost for your treatment. Pre-aligners can also be provided if you are undecided about whether you want to go ahead with treatment. The pre-aligners are aligners which do not create movement but will give you a feel of what it’s like to wear an aligner.
STEP 3
Begin your transformation - the active aligners will be ordered and your treatment will begin! We would advise attending every 2 weeks for your new aligner to be fitted. Then just sit back, relax and watch the magic happen.
STEP 4
Retention - teeth can move back to their original position just as fast as aligning them. Retainers are advised to reduce the risk of relapse and provide stability for the new tooth position. There are different retainer options, removable or fixed. We will discuss which retainer will be best suited for you.
STEP 5
Extras - this is completely personal preference but you may decide to give your smile some extra love by opting for some further treatment such as whitening or composite bonding. These small tweaks can enhance your new smile and bring it to life!
